Prince Harry was ‘spotted’ in a UK boozer over the weekend as he marked his 40th birthday.
The Duke of Sussex celebrated the milestone on Sunday (September 15) with both fans and Royal Family members taking to social media to wish him well. Harry, who stepped down from official duties in 2020 and moved to Montecito, California with wife Meghan Markle, seldom comes back to Britain after four and a half years in the US.
But revellers in London were shocked to see what appeared to be the prince at a pub this weekend. However, it turned out not to be the Prince himself and was, in fact, a wax model.

The lifelike statue was borrowed from Madame Tussaud’s and put on display in the Duke of Sussex pub in Peckham for its namesake’s big day. The Virgin Media News X (formerly Twitter) account shared the hilarious story, writing: “In London, The #DukeofSussex pub in Peckham marked #PrinceHarry’s 40th birthday with a special celebration.
“The pub hosted a wax figure of Harry, on loan from Madame Tussauds London, alongside a figure of his wife, #MeghanMarkle. #RoyalFamily.”
Fans were quick to comment on the post, with many rushing to wish Harry a happy birthday. One wrote: “Sounds like fun. Happy birthday Harry,” while another chimed in: “Love it!!!! I would so visit just for this.”
A third agreed: “Happy Birthday to our one and only Prince Henry [Harry’s birth name]. The Duke of Sussex.” A fourth said they wished they’d been able to see the model for themselves, writing: “Wow had I been to London this weekend was going to go there and have a pint.”
However, others were unconvinced by the waxwork model. One person wrote: “No one else wanted it so what the heck…..” Meanwhile another wrote: “Did they pull the figures out of the dumpster behind Tussauds? No one is interested in them anymore.”
