Tom Brady and Rob McElhenney have been spotted in a deep conversation ahead of Birmingham City‘s showdown with Wrexham.
Although the midweek fixture is in League One, some very famous faces in attendance attend St Mary’s.
Wrexham co-owner McElhenney has flown directly to the game from the Emmys, while former NFL star Brady is a minority owner in Birmingham and will also be watching from the stands.
Ahead of kick-off, the pair met pitchside and had a deep chat, with Brady handing a personalised Birmingham shirt to the Hollywood star.
Brady and McElhenney will not be the only big name stars in attendance, with David Beckham in the stands for the third tier fixture.
‘Directly after the Emmys I’m hopping on a plane and going out to Birmingham, England, to watch Wrexham play Tom Brady’s team, Birmingham City,’ McElhenney said before the match.
‘We’re not legally allowed to bet on the games but we have fun, we have social media and whatnot. I’ll be joining him and I believe Mr David Beckham will be there as well – we should have a good time.’
Wrexham, who were promoted from League Two last season, are currently top of League One having taken 13 points from their first five games.
Birmingham, meanwhile, are in sixth place with 10 points from four matches.
Beckham has struck up a friendship with Brady, with the pair having been seen together at the game between Inter Miami and Cincinnati in August.
The game between Birmingham and Wrexham is likely to attract large viewing figures both in England at the USA.
