An abandoned love hotel added an extra layer to the concept of “getting freaky”, with nutty interiors and rooms kitted out in bizarre themes for couples to bonk in.
The hotel, found two hours outside of Toyko and abandoned in the late 1990s, has become a popular attraction for urban explorers who are lured in by the barmy interiors and derelict state.
British urban explorer Ben Stevens took a look around through the “well preserved” rooms, which haven’t been used for more than ten years.

Despite this, Ben said he “wouldn’t want to run a UV light over anything”.
A quirk of Japanese culture, love hotels are designed for horny couples who would like to bonk in private, but still live in multi generational homes.
This particular love hotel, the Spaceship Love Hotel, also operated as a brothel for anyone who wanted to live out a kink or fantasy in anyone of the strange but raunchy rooms.
In the Playboy casino-themed room, people could shag on a roulette-wheel bed, which even spun around. In a carnival-themed room, a carousal of horses rotate around the outside of a bed, while in another room, couples with unresolved frustrations can get it on in a massive boxing ring.
There is also a fairground-themed room which has ‘fairground equipment’ to tie your loved one up to, like a spinning wheel, and an intergalactic-themed room, with a moving space ship bed and reflective surfaces all over the walls.
Apart from the buildings bottom floor being damaged in a fire, Ben, from Cambridgeshire, found the hotel largely untouched.
“It’s just not something that not many people would get to see in person – let alone it being abandoned.”
Ben isn’t the only urban explore to have wondered what went on in the hotel. Dutchman Bob Thissen stumbled on the weird hotel in 2019.
He said it was the most high-end love hotel he had ever seen.
“This place had the craziest rooms I’ve ever seen, including moving UFO beds, a rotating merry-go-round bed, a bondage room and many more,” he said.
