“Ex-Chelsea boys having a good week against Liverpool,” a fourth joked. And another added: “I have such nostalgia for Pulisic as a Chelsea fan. Delighted to see him doing well in Italy, shame he couldn’t stay fit for us!”

Slot made two changes to his Liverpool team as they are travelled to Italy. Kostas Tsimikas and Cody Gakpo come into the side at the expense of Andy Robertson and Luis Diaz as the Reds play their first game in Europe’s premier competition for 18 months.
It made quite the difference to his Premier League rotation, with Slot having made just one change in his four Prem games to date with Ibrahima Konate replacing Jarell Quansah after being introduced for his centre-back colleague at the halfway-point of the 2-0 win at Ipswich Town last month.
Federico Chiesa, as Slot revealed on Monday night, starts on the bench and could make his Reds debut having signed from Juventus for £12m in the final week of the transfer window last month.
