Liverpool fan dies after being hit by a automobile in Milan crossing motorway

A Liverpool fan was tragically killed after he was hit by a car in Milan.

Multiple reports from Italian outlets, including Il Corriere della Sera and La Gazzetta dello Sport, claim the fan, 51, was struck by a vehicle while crossing the A4 highway near the Orio al Serio airport in Bergamo.

The fan attempted to cross the highway to reach the NH Hotel, where he booked his stay. 

The reports claim two other people associated with the victim had left the scene. 

Il Corriere della Sera also reported the fan, who hailed from Ireland, had a ticket for Liverpool’s Champions League match against Milan in his pocket at the time of his death.
