Lucy Beaumont jokingly said she didn’t think her marriage with Jon Richardson would last for life, two years before they announced their split.
The pair, who share one daughter together, tied the knot in April 2015 and announced their separation in April this year – just days after the launch of the fifth series of Meet The Richardsons.
In an unearthed clip of 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown in 2022, Lucy, 41, shared her frank view on their marriage, prompting Jon, also 41, to ask ‘are you breaking up?’
In the footage from the show, host Jimmy Carr asked Lucy: ‘What made you decided to settle?’
To which the comedian replied: ‘I don’t see this for life, isn’t there a song Just Passing Through? A season, a reason or a lifetime.

‘You meet in your life old souls, new souls, a***holes. Before Jon I’d never had an avocado. We’ve had a lovely life together. We’ve had a daughter.
‘Who knows what will happen in the future.’
A stunned Jon asked: ‘Are you breaking up now?’ before putting his head in his hands.
Lucy replied: ‘We have a lovely daughter so it has been worth it.’
The started dating in 2013 after they met each other through friend Roisin Conaty and went on to work together on a number of shows including Meet The Richardsons.
But in a joint statement in April, the couple said: ‘After 9 years of marriage, we would like to announce that we have separated. We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways.’
Jon handed over £1.625 million to Lucy when they called time on their nine year marriage.

The pair starred together in the mockumetary-style show Meet the Richardsons for seven years, and amassed a £6 million fortune.
But documents for a company they had run together reveal that in June, two months after their split, Jon, 41, paid Lucy, 40, £1.625 million for her shares in a company they had co run.
Jon even had to pay HMRC stamp duty of £8,125 after buying out her stake in the business This Guy at Night Limited.
According to recently filed accounts the company was worth £4 million last year and the couple are still listed as joint owners of a £1 million detached home with a pool in Yorkshire and a £1 million flat in a swanky part of North London.

In an interview last year Lucy hinted Meet the Richardsons would be ending.
She said: ‘This will probably be the last one, and we’re going out on a high.’
Last year, Lucy confessed that viewers often do not understand that their fighting is not real, saying: ‘It’s been great but I see comments on social media and people don’t seem to realise it’s not real…
‘I don’t henpeck – we wouldn’t have lasted this long if I was as mean to him in real life. You don’t want to see a smug couple in love, in a nice house, with a stable career and a lovely little child. Who wants to see that?…

‘The world we’ve got around us is slightly bizarre but I think people still feel like they recognise themselves in it, which is good.’
Jon meanwhile has landed a big role after the shock split, joining the Absolute Radio team in September.
He is on air every Saturday morning at 8am and will be broadcast from the show’s London studios or from his custom-built studio, which is located in his savvy garden pub.
Jon is best known as a team captain on Channel 4’s popular show 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
He also co-hosts Down the Dog with Matt Forde, who is an Absolute Radio presenter with a Saturday afternoon show.
