A clip of a UFO seemingly hovering onto the ground in Mexico has drawn a mixed response.
Clips shared to social media showed what looks to be a spinning oval-sized object floating above the western city of Zitácuaro on September 8. Two separate recordings capture the alien object moving slowly in broad daylight.
People have flocked to Twitter/X to give their take on whether or not the “spectacular video” is really evidence of extraterrestrial life or not. “Spectacular video, contact between humans and alien races is getting closer and closer,” said one X user. “Anyone who continues to believe that it is a balloon, a drone, a hologram or something else is either blind or does not want to see reality.”

There’s lots of quality news coming out of the US.
Another person added: “That’s that eye diamond UFO shape,’ one person commented. “(Must) be some kind of organic ship.”
But many people were quick to shoot down such claims. “It may have been a test of a hot air balloon, as these balloons are very common in central Mexico and from a distance they can be confused with other objects,” wrote one doubting Thomas.
Many cynics were keen to point out the UFO was more likely to be a sky lantern that was left over from the recent Globos de Cantoya festival.
Someone else said: “So much technology, cell phones with too many mega pixels and images like that.
“I do believe that there is life on other planets, but some tests like this don’t help much.”
Another quipped: “We will see more and more UFOs. And the government will make contact with them. We will obey in fear as always. But we will never see them.”
The footage comes after a man in Montana captured footage of a UFO flying over a small town in the state which made his wife “cry”.
