‘Get off her’ screamed as lady drags one other by her hair outdoors Wetherspoons

A shocking video has emerged showing two women in a violent brawl outside a Wetherspoons branch in broad daylight.

The disturbing footage shows one woman dragging the other to the ground by her hair, spilling a can’s contents in Parliament Row, Hanley. The pair continue to grapple on the floor as cries of ‘get off her now’ and ‘both of you stop’ echo in the background.

Bystanders are seen strolling past before one intervenes. Two more individuals step in before the women are finally separated after nearly a minute.

This is the latest incident highlighting the problems plaguing the city centre, including street fights, drug use, and anti-social behaviour, reports Stoke on Trent Live.

Just last week, a video surfaced of two men – one wielding a hammer – brawling in an alleyway next to Waterstones between Tontine Street and Parliament Row. At times, the hammer struck the window of Reel Leisure Time Amusements.

Police, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, and business leaders are working together to ensure the city centre remains a safe place to live, work, and shop.

Efforts include weeks of action addressing issues like homelessness, addiction, and mental health, as well as beautifying the area through Operation Sparkle.

Councillor David Williams, the honcho for community safety and resilience, has acknowledged the public’s fears in May, saying: “We’ve heard you when you tell us you’re concerned about anti-social behaviour in our city centre. I know you have real concerns about it and so too, do our local businesses in the city.”

He pledged to keep working with the cops to tackle crime and nuisance behaviour, adding: “We will continue to work alongside Staffordshire Police to reduce and prevent crime and anti-social behaviour so that Hanley is a great place for all of us. Please do come into Hanley and do support local businesses as they really do deserve our support.”

If you’re having trouble with rough sleepers in Hanley, ring the bobbies on 101 or drop a dime to Crimestoppers, without giving your name, on 0800 555111.
