A friend of ours recently went to Turkey and her son had to have hospital and a Doctor for treatment for Sunburn. Due to the winter fuel fiasco millions of OAP’s are making new claims for pension credit. Needless to say the DWP do not have enough staff to deal with this huge upsurge in claims. It’s predicted that even if they’re eligible some OAP’s will have to wait the best part of 4 YEARS to have their claim for pension credit to be verified. What a massive kick in the teeth for people who have worked hard all their lives and are just asking for a little bit of financial help in retirement. Alan Quay
