Fast food fans were left baffled after a woman showed a typical KFC order in the US – and it’s wildly different from he UK.
Kitty, who shares taste testing videos on TikTok, showed off an “IV bag of soft drinks” and biscuits. The US resident says that she’s not that into KFC, but it’s very popular in the UK.
But Brits were shocked when they saw several items not available to them. Adding to that, the size in the US appears to be a lot larger than here in the UK, with the largest bucket being 14 pieces here, and 16 pieces in the US.

“My parents love it and they got some KFC takeout so I thought I’d show you all what it’s like over here,” Kitty said in her post. “For one thing, I know you all don’t have biscuits and I don’t think you have pot pie.”

Her parents brought home a half gallon drink that comes in a plastic bag, a big bucket of fried chicken and a packet of biscuits and a huge pot pie. “Now this is a pot pie, I wonder if any of you have it. It’s a really flaky pastry with chicken, gravy and veggie inside.”
Biscuits also come included in all the US meals, which are equivalent to a UK scone. There are no signs of custard creams, but Kitty says it’s the “most important part of the meal in America”.
One UK fan was already drooling over the screen as she commented: “That looks so much better than ours.” Another wrote: “UK KFC is just like wings, boneless chicken, popcorn chicken…the gravy is rank though.”

According to Statista, KFC is the seventh most popular fast food chain in the UK, coming in after McDonald’s. US chains dominate the top 10, but Brits have stayed true to their roots with Wetherspoons coming in at number two, and Greggs number one.
An American on TikTok named KGH (Kalani Ghost Hunter) dedicates his channel to trying UK foods for his largely American audience. In a recent video, he visited Greggs for the first time and tried an iconic sausage roll and a steak bake.

After taking his first bite, KGH could not hide his excitement. “Okay, that’s really damn good,” he said while finishing off his sausage roll. He rated the pastry a nine out of ten before dipping it into a pot of curry sauce.
Delighted Brits filled the comment section with other suggestions, such as Nando’s, Lidl bakery and Wetherspoons. They said it would, “change his life.”
