Male Brit players are thrice extra prone to get embarrassing medical problem

A top doctor has warned that gaming-loving male Brits could suffer from a rather embarrassing medical issue from too much game time.

Doctor Ashwin Sharma from online pharmacy MedExpress has issued a stark warning about the potential impact of excessive gaming on sexual health ahead of the highly anticipated release of EA FC 25.

A recent study found that an average of 10% of gamers aged between 18 and 25 spend more than 20 hours per week gaming. With the new EA FC 25 game set to drop next weekend (September 27), it’s expected that many will be spending even longer in front of their screens.

But is this really a smart move?

Research has shown that men who clock up more than five hours on video games are nearly three times more likely to suffer from erectile dysfunction.

As gamers gear up for marathon sessions over the release weekend, Doctor Ashwin Sharma offers some sage advice. He warns of the potential dangers to sexual health for those planning to indulge in excessive gaming following the new FIFA release.

He said: “With any major game release, it’s common for gamers to spend extended hours sitting in front of screens. However, many may be unaware of the long-term impact a sedentary lifestyle can have on their overall health, particularly their sexual health.

“Prolonged sitting and lack of physical activity can negatively affect circulation and cardiovascular health, which are critical for maintaining sexual function.

“Over time, this directly impairs blood flow to various parts of the body, including the penis, and can contribute to erectile dysfunction (ED).”

“Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common condition, and it’s important to understand that there is no need for stigma around it. The fact that there are over 847,000 Google searches for ‘Viagra’ in the past month reflects just how widespread ED is.”
