Anthony Joshua is poised to pocket a hefty eight-figure sum from his bout with Daniel Dubois tonight.
The multi-millionaire boxer will take on current world champ Dubois for his heavyweight title in front of a whopping 96,000 spectators at Wembley, aiming to become a three-time division champion. Only five men have achieved this feat before; Muhammad Ali, Evander Holyfield, Lennox Lewis, Vitali Klitschko and Michael Moorer.
Joshua can anticipate banking more than the £10million he bagged for each of his last two UK fights; victories over Jermaine Franklin and Robert Helenius at The O2 arena in London last year. Since Joshua began fighting in Saudi Arabia under the Riyadh Season banner, his earnings have been kept under wraps, but reports suggest he may have pocketed up to £30m for his second-round KO of Francis Ngannou in March.

If he earns a similar amount tonight, it could boost his net worth to an eye-watering £200million after over ten years in professional boxing. Joshua transitioned to the paid ranks following his gold medal win at the London Olympics and has twice been crowned heavyweight champion of the world.
However, Joshua, 34, hit a rough patch in 2022 when he was defeated by Oleksandr Usyk for the second time, with the Ukrainian retaining the three belts he had won from Joshua at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium the previous year. After addressing the crowd, Joshua caused a stir by tossing Usyk’s belts out of the ring and storming back to his dressing room, reports the Mirror.
The heavyweight champ has bounced back with a vengeance, racking up victories against Franklin, Helenius, Otto Wallin, and most recently, Ngannou. He’s made it crystal clear that he’s not ready to hang up his gloves just yet, eyeing a blockbuster undisputed showdown with Usyk or Tyson Fury next year.
“I’m not a warrior in the garden yet. I’m still on the battlefield,” he declared post weigh-in, tipping the scales slightly heavier than Dubois. “I’m not smelling any roses yet. Just blood. Fresh blood. I’m pumped and ready to perform for the crowd. I want to thank the fans for sticking with me through thick and thin.”
Despite holding the champion title, Dubois is set to pocket less than Joshua tonight. The London lad might not be a household name yet, but he’s on the brink of blasting into the big leagues if he can topple his illustrious opponent.
His journey hit a snag when Joe Joyce handed him a defeat behind closed doors, followed by a crushing loss to Usyk in his inaugural world title bid.
Dubois has clawed his way back to the top, first by defeating Jarrell Miller and then seizing the interim IBF championship with a knockout win over Filip Hrgovic three months back. His status was bumped up to full champ when Usyk vacated the belt to zero in on his festive rematch with Fury.
