Stephen Fry is set to appear on Celebrity Traitors after the BBC confirmed a star-studded series has been commissioned, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.
The former QI presenter will be joined by a host of other well-known names for the show, to be broadcast next year in a nine-part series.
It is understood that host Claudia Winkleman was ‘super keen’ for him to feature and insiders say he ‘is definitely taking part.’ Mr Fry is said to be ecstatic at the idea.

A source said: ‘Stephen is the perfect contestant. He’s so clever and so cunning. Claudia absolutely loves The Traitors. It was a gamble she took and it paid off so massively. She’s passionate about the celebrity version and wants the best cast possible.’
Other names mooted are tennis legend Sir Andy Murray and his mother Judy. Ms Winkleman’s Strictly co-host Tess Daly and her husband Vernon Kay have also been suggested, as well as former prime minister Liz Truss.
The celebrity version of The Traitors is expected to be filmed at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.
