Ex-Manchester United star Sergio Romero was filmed fighting his own fans on Saturday evening.
Romero, 37, was between the sticks for Boca Juniors for their bitter clash with local river River Plate. Milton Giménez thought he had nicked a late equaliser – but VAR intervened, deeming there had been a handball in the build-up to the goal.
And the decision sparked mayhem at La Bombonera, with Boca even reduced to 10 men in the ensuing minutes. When the full-time whistle sounded, the stadium was a cauldron of fury, as Romero even jumped into the stands to confront one fan.

“Romero looking to fight with fans after the game, no words honestly,” one fan sighed. While a second replied: “Something about Argentinian football that’s so glorious, it’s raw emotion and passion is what we lack in the Premier League!”
“Imagine getting that upset over football…fans are embarrassing,” a third responded. And another added: “Will never forgive Ole for letting him go…”
In an interview with TNT Sports after the game, Romero held his hands up and apologised.
“When the fan insulted me, I couldn’t think at the moment and I lost my mind,” Romero said. “He cursed me so hard that he just found me. I was leaving and I lost my mind and I went back to look for him.
“I offer my apologies to the fan who insulted me because it is his right.”
Boca have been a million miles away from their usual lofty standards this season – and Saturday marked their fourth loss of the campaign seeing them slump to 11th place.
