“All the nonsense we’ve heard about Haaland not being able to cope against Saliba and Gabriel. Shut up,” one fan joked. While a second said: “I can’t even hate on Haaland anymore man this guy is f***ing insane!”

“Everyone in the world expected Haaland to either dink that or go to the far past. So, so smart to go near post there. Brilliant stuff,” a third posted. And another added: “When everyone went Euros, Haaland went to the mountains!”

Erling Haaland has tied Cristiano Ronaldo’s record

Haaland has now levelled Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of being the quickest man to 100 goals for a single club – with the achievement taking Ronaldo 105 games for Real Madrid.

He wasn’t far off such a record with former club Borussia Dortmund either, with the striker scoring 86 goals in 89 games for the German giants.

Records continue to tumble for the great man, with Newcastle United’s Mick Quinn record of it taking him just six games to reach ten goals goals back in 1992/93. With Sunday’s strike, Haaland now holds that too.
