Donald Trump has vowed to reach Mars if he wins the presidential campaign.
The orange manbaby, 78, wants the US to reach the Red Planet “by the end of my term”. He also wants there to be “great military protection in space”.
The Republican presidential candidate said he will “talk” to SpaceX boss Elon Musk about getting the mission going. He told supporters in North Carolina: “We want to reach Mars by the end of my term.

“We want to do it and we want to have also great military protection in space. I’ll talk to Elon. Elon – get those rocket ships going.”
Trump has pledged to reveal UFO close encounter videos from the real-life X-Files if he is elected back to the White House in November. He claims he will force the Pentagon to declassify the footage so it can be shown.
Billionaire Musk has said that he wants to colonise Mars and that he plans to launch his Starships to the planet in two years. The tech tycoon, who owns social media platform X, aims to send a crewed flight there in four years.
He has claimed flight rate will grow “exponentially from there”, with the aim of “building a self-sustaining city” in around 20 years. But he claims if Trump’s rival for the White House, Democrat Kamala Harris, wins then humans won’t reach Mars.
He said: “Trump supports a government efficiency commission to allow great things to be done, Kamala does not. We will never reach Mars if Kamala wins.”
