Jay Slater’s dad’s determined cry for misplaced son in ‘do the hills have eyes’ video

The desperate cries of Jay Slater’s dad as he searched for him in Tenerife’s remote mountains have been dubbed “heartbreaking.”

They were heard for the first time in a video posted on TikTok yesterday by dad Warren and captioned “do the hills have eyes.” It shows the craggy cliff faces of Masca where the 19-year-old Lancashire teen was last seen. Zooming into a crevice, Warren asks: “Is that somebody watching us?”

Warren then comments on the “weird noises” that can be heard as he shouts: “Hello” into the wilderness. With pain in his voice, he then screams: “Jay.”

He later adds: “Now how the hell do you get up to those caves?…it’s funny how the dogs have now stopped barking.”

Upon hearing more eerie sounds, he says: “What is it? It sounds like voices.”

It comes after the Daily Star revealed how Warren had set up a new TikTok account to document the search for his son, with people suggesting it must mean he still has questions surrounding the teenager’s disappearance.

The account features a photo montage overlayed with rave music and images of Jay, along with pictures of the remote area where he vanished.

The apprentice bricklayer disappeared in June after attending a rave, telling friends he was lost, thirsty and only had 1% battery left on his phone. His body was found four weeks later in an inaccessible ravine close to where his mobile last pinged.

Conspiracy theories surrounding the case have been rife and seem to have been further fuelled by Warren’s videos on TikTok.

One shows him standing on the steps of the Airbnb where Jay stayed with two men. Panning across the remote region, he states: “Seriously? I think there’s a lot of bullsh*t going on.”

As online sleuths began to go into overdrive, Warren later posted an update clarifying that he has not returned to Tenerife, confirming that the video was not new but was filmed during the search for Jay.

He also revealed that a bunch of keys he found that were thought to be Jay’s ” lost apartment key,” actually belonged to TikTok sleuth Down the Rapids, who travelled to Spain to help solve the case.

Warren said: “The videos that I’ve been posting are just documentation of what I was up to, where I was searching, things I was looking at while I while I was out there and that’s it.”

On his latest “hills have eyes” video, one viewer commented: “Jay would be so proud of his dad. These videos show his dedication in trying his best to find his son. You’re one amazing father.”

Another wrote: “Oh Warren, I burst out crying when you called his name. Keep doing what you’re doing.”

While one said: “The pain in your voice when you shout Jay broke me.”

One commented: “Justice for Jay. You have an army behind you.”

“That hurt my heart,” said another.
