Man Utd ‘worst pretend shirt’ ever with abysmal ‘robotic satan’ badge on sale for £15

Manchester United fans have mocked a pathetic fake version of the club’s 2023/24 away shirt – on sale for a ‘bargain’ £15.

The actual genuine jersey from last season is still on sale at legitimate retailers for around £40, which is half the price it was when it was released last summer for £79.99.

But in exchange for the shockingly low price of the fake kit, fans who plump for it will have to put up with a few massive blunders and laughable changes to key details.

The phoney one has a crest which reads ‘Manchester Football’ rather than ‘Manchester United’. Meanwhile, the famous Red Devil on it is also a block-type figure which looks like it might have been done by a child.

Wearing fake replica kits has become more normalised in recent years across England with the cost of originals from clubs soaring, as well as the sheer number of kits each side now produces, with the majority having three new versions each season.

And with websites producing thousands of knock-offs all over the world, it’s no surprise there are a few shockers out there. This one might take some beating, though. It still has the green and white strips with thin red ones too just like the original – but there are still more than a few issues.

None of them match the real thing, as well as the issues with the crest, as reported by What’s The Jam – prompting scorn from fans. One United fan said: “Kind of makes me want it, it’s so bad.” A second joked: “Doesn’t look bad to me. I think Sir Alex made this without his glasses on.”

Another supporter said: “Perfectly portraits the current state of the club.” A fourth posted: “I kinda want it.” While a fifth joked: “That’s the robot devil from Futurama.” And a fifth laughed: “Munchester Yunited.”

A spokesperson for FilthyTops, which sells football kits online, said: “Think we’ve done it. Think we’ve found the worst fake shirt. Look at the badge. £15 for that.”
