Barack Obama makes intelligent dig at Donald Trump suggesting he wears a nappy

Barack Obama has launched a scathing attack on Donald Trump, mocking the former president over his parenting skills and urging black male voters to cast their ballots in the upcoming election.

Speaking at a rally in Pennsylvania in support of Democrat Kamala Harris, Obama praised her proposed policy of providing new parents with a $6,000 (£4,588) child tax credit. He joked with the crowd, saying: “She wants to make it easier to afford stuff like a crib, or a car seat or diapers.”

“I remember changing diapers,” he added, before asking the audience: “Do you think Donald Trump ever changed a diaper?”

The crowd erupted in laughter, with one audience member quipping: “His own.”

Obama chuckled and replied, “I almost said that, but I decided I shouldn’t say it.”, reports the Mirror.

Addressing America’s men, Obama said: “I’m sorry, gentlemen. I’ve noticed this, especially with some men who seem to think Trump’s behaviour, the bullying, and the putting people down is a sign of strength. I am here to tell you that is not what real strength is.”

“Real strength is about helping people who need it and standing up for those who can’t always stand up for themselves. “That is what we should want for our daughters and for our sons. “He later remarked: “My understanding, based on reports I’m getting from campaigns and communities, is that we have not yet seen the same kinds of energy and turnout in all quarters of our neighbourhoods and communities as we saw when I was running,” and noted that this “seems to be more pronounced with the brothers”.”

Obama then highlighted the contrast between Trump’s policies for the wealthy and Harris’s focus on the working class. “Instead of giving more tax breaks to billionaires and raising prices on working families, Kamala will give a tax cut to 100 million middle-class and working people here in America,” he declared.

In a sharp retort, Steven Cheung, Trump’s campaign communications director, stated: “Barack Hussein Obama couldn’t even make a coherent defence of Kamala Harris’ record because even he knows she represents a disastrous four years of skyrocketing inflation, an out-of-control border, and rampant crime that terrorises communities across the country.”

Following President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race after a calamitous debate performance, Obama threw his support behind Harris’s White House run. He endorsed her, saying she would “make an excellent president” and promised that he and former first lady Michelle Obama would “do everything we can to amake sure she wins in November.”

The latest polls indicate a tight race between Harris and Trump, with the Democrat holding a three-point lead in Pennsylvania.
