Princess Beatrice attends Ladies Lunch with mom Sarah Ferguson

Pregnant Princess Beatrice and her mother, the Duchess of York, donned brightly-coloured ensembles to attend a Ladies Lunch held to raise money for a cancer charity today – which is also Sarah Ferguson’s 65th birthday.

The royal mother and daughter were joined by celebrities including Elizabeth Hurley and Dame Joan Collins – who both also sported striking outfits – at the tenth annual Lady Garden Foundation Langan’s Ladies Lunch in London

Sarah, who is better known as Fergie, was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2023. Just months later, in January 2024, the mother-of-two was told she had malignant melanoma, an aggressive form of skin cancer.

While she has been advised against using the phrase ‘cancer free’, Sarah, writing in The Sun last week, said that her ‘treatment has been successful and tests show there has been no spread or recurrence.’

For the event hosted by national women’s health charity the Lady Garden Foundation, whose motto is ‘We are loud and we are bold’, Sarah wore a £945 multicoloured blouse with a pussybow feature by Italian brand Pucci.

Princess Beatrice and mother Sarah tried out different poses when they were being photographed

Sarah, 65, sported a £945 blouse with a pussybow feature from Italian designer Pucci

She paired the distinctive blouse with a black, knee-length skirt and added a Gucci belt with a gold clasp.

Sarah completed the look with sheer black tights and patent high heels.

The playful duchess styled her long, auburn hair with a wide headband in the same psychedelic Pucci print and sported a pair of white, 1960s-style sunglasses.

Her daughter Princess Beatrice, 36, who announced that she was pregnant with her second child on October 1, opted for an equally striking dark pink mini dress.

Cinched at the waist and with a flared skirt, the princess’s dress also featured button detailing down the left side.

She paired it with black opaque tights and black suede ankle boots.

Only a little less bold than her mother, Beatrice styled her long hair with a velvet headband in colour of the season burgundy.

While mother and daughter posed for photographs together, Sarah was also pictured with Elizabeth Hurley and Dame Joan Collins, as well as other attendees.

The Ladies Lunch at Mayfair celebrity haunt Langan’s Brasserie was also attended by socialite and TV personality Tamara Beckwith and businesswoman Jenny Halpern Prince, who both looked attractive in brightly-coloured silk dresses with geometric prints.

Meanwhile, actress Elizabeth Hurley, 59, looked typically glamourous in a red and purple floral midi dress.

With a lowcut neckline highlighting the star’s jaw-dropping figure, the dress also had short sleeves and an a-symmetric hemline.

Elizabeth added height to her frame with a pair of gold open toe heels and carried a rose gold clutch bag.

Letting her brunette locks fall loose down her shoulders, she completed her look with a pair of hoop earrings.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Hurley looked sensational.

The actress, 59, ensured all eyes were on her as she arrived to the event in a red and purple midi dress with a floral print.

The garment featured a deep v-neckline that highlighted the star’s jaw-dropping figure along with short sleeves and an a-symmetric hemline.

Joan Collins looked radiant as ever for the event as she sported a baby pink blazer with flared sleeves which she wore with black trousers.

Also in attendance at the event was Sarah Ferguson who cut a stylish figure in a multi-coloured blouse and a black pencil skirt

The Lady Garden Foundation was launched in 2014 as the Gynaecological Cancer Fund to raise funds and awareness for various types of gynaecological cancers, hosted by charity chair and co-founder Jenny Halpern Prince.

It’s been a busty few days for Elizabeth as she also put on a very busty display for her cover shoot with Maxim magazine.

The actress went braless underneath an oversized see-through blue shirt which she paired with a chunky gold necklace.

Sharing a behind the scene clip from the shoot, Elizabeth looked positively radiant as she laughed in snaps.

She captioned the snap: ‘Thank you @maximmag for making me your No 1 a delightful day in St Tropez this summer with my old friend @gilles_bensimon – 30 years since our first shoot’.

Liz and Joan are good friends and were seen last month holidaying together in the South of France alongside Liz’s son Damian, 22.

Meanwhile Liz also recently appeared on Loose Women for an emotional episode as she revealed that two friends of her friends are currently battling breast cancer as she discussed the topic close to her heart amid Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The model also detailed how she was inspired to join the breast cancer awareness fight 30 years ago after her grandmother died of the disease.

Discussing how attitudes towards it have changed from when her grandmother was ill, she said: ‘When my grandmother was suffering and dying, nobody spoke. But I remember it really clearly.’

‘As women we sometimes put ourselves last and it seems indulgent to take care of ourselves.’

She previously spoke to Extra about her grandmother’s ordeal, remarking: ‘When my grandmother had been diagnosed and was being treated — and of course ultimately died, we too didn’t talk about it. There was no conversation about breast cancer at that time.’

‘I just know that had she been diagnosed today, everything would just be so different. Now, women are told about the importance of early detection.’
