A TikTok star has tragically died at the age of 27.
Rachel Yaffe had battled liver cancer for seven years and the social media sensation, who was based in Maryland, made a heartbreaking post about feeling week in recent days.
She took her final breath on October 11 after opening up to her followers about feeling week after undergoing radiation.

Back in September, she wrote: “I lost so much of my strength when I was getting radiation and I’m starting from day one. It’s been so hard for me to get up and force myself to move so I’m working on doing that. Thankfully, it’s easier to walk around here being in the city. Plus I’m working very hard to stick to a very strict food regimen for cancer healing that’s also taking up a lot of energy.”
Rachel previously spoke about feeling like something was wrong as a teenager but put it down to gluten intolerance. But a doctor later referred her to a specialist where a 20cm tumour in her liver was discovered.
The rare form of cancer was confirmed and it is known as fibrolamellar hepatocellular carcinoma. She underwent emergence surgery to remove the tumour before it returned to her liver and lungs months later.
Rachel, who moved to New York in September 2023 where her sister lives, tried both traditional and alternative medicines to fight the cruel disease.
Her lungs haemorrhaged in February and she started radiation and immunotheraphy to shrink the tumour after emergency operations.
