Deadly XEC Covid pressure’s in depth signs detailed because it sweeps throughout UK

A comprehensive list of symptoms caused by the latest strain of the deadly Coronavirus has been made public after warnings from experts.

While isolation is no longer required by law, the Daily Star reported just two days ago how experts had recommend adopting a hermit lifestyle for five days post-positive test and avoid human contact.

People who have tested positive should avoid making contact with vulnerable people for 10 days after testing, they also claimed. The advice came after it was found that the virus’ XEC variant ripped through 27 countries.

First discovered in Germany, authorities told how they were concerned it could become super spreadable over a month ago thanks to its Frankenstein mash-up of mutations.

It was later shown that hospitalisations in the UK were rising, with 4.5 people per 100,000 being admitted in the UK in the week to October 6 – up from 3.7 a week earlier, according to the UK’s Health Security Agency.

The highest rate has been seen in the North East, which shot up to 8.12 cases, while those aged over 85 stand at a whopping 52.48 cases per 100,000. Now an updated list of symptoms has been made public.

The symptoms are:

  • A high temperature or shivering (chills) – a high temperature means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

  • A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or three or more coughing episodes in 24 hours

  • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste

  • Shortness of breath

  • Feeling tired or exhausted

  • An aching body

  • A headache

  • A sore throat

  • A blocked or runny nose

  • Loss of appetite

  • Diarrhoea

  • Feeling sick or being sick
