The popstar, 32, was in the midst of performing with his brothers Joe Jonas, 35, and Kevin Jonas, 36, in Prague on Tuesday evening, when he suddenly stopped the show and bolted off stage.

Afterwards, it was revealed that the singer had panicked after he noticed an audience member pointing a ‘prohibited laser’ at him.

Now, a source close to the boybander has revealed exclusively to DailyMail.com how he is handling the terrifying incident, and they revealed that he is happy that his team followed the correct ‘protocol.’

‘Not that Nick or his brothers ever want to think of a catastrophe or a tragedy, they have ways of being present with their team if they ever think they are in danger and that is exactly what we saw in Prague,’ the insider dished.

While they said it was ‘scary and sad’ that it happened, the insider explained that Nick was ‘relieved’ they had a chance to test the protocol and that everyone handled everything correctly.

‘It was scary and sad that it had to be done but Nick is also relieved that it went off without a hitch and was done in such a way that the training everyone had for a moment of this nature went exactly as planned,’ they continued.

‘Nick would love for this to never happen again, but since it did, now everyone knows that the planning in place actually works.’

The source added that in this ‘dangerous and sick world,’ the Jonas Brothers don’t want to ‘take any chances,’ especially because they ‘know they are a target for unnecessary violence.’

‘He wasn’t only doing it for the safety or himself, but the safety of the crowd, his brothers, everyone else on stage, and whomever else was nearby,’ they dished.

Footage of the dramatic moment was shared on online afterwards, and it quickly went viral.

His brothers Joe and Kevin continued to perform for a few moments before they also left the stage.

Fans in attendance at the show in the Czech Republic city claimed the concert was stopped for several minutes before the band retook to the stage and started singing again.

‘We can confirm that the Jonas Brothers’ performance had to be interrupted for several minutes due to the use of a prohibited laser pointer by the person,’ a spokesperson for the arena said to Variety afterwards.

‘The organizing service responded to this fact. After a few minutes, the band continued their performance.’
