Al Pacino has said he will be ‘forever haunted’ by a painful injury to his penis, he endured as a 10-year-old.
The Godfather alum, 84, recalled the ‘traumatic’ and ’embarrassing’ childhood memory in his new memoir, Sonny Boy.
While he was living in South Bronx, New York, Al said he remembers being in ‘such pain’ after he slipped over on a tightrope.
In People’s look at the book, Al writes: ‘I was walking on a thin, iron fence, doing my tightrope dance. It had been raining all morning, and sure enough, I slipped and fell, and the iron bar hit me directly between my legs.
‘I lay there on the bed, with my pants completely down around my ankles as the three women in my life — my mother, my aunt, and my grandmother — poked and prodded at my penis in a semi panic.

‘I thought, God, please take me now, as I heard them whispering things to one another as they conducted their inspection. To this day I’m haunted by the thought of it.’
Al also brands the incident as ‘one of the most embarrassing experiences’ of his life.
It comes after Al and his ex-girlfriend Noor Alfallah enjoyed a cosy dinner at West Hollywood’s celebrity hotspot Chateau Marmont on Thursday night.
Noor, 30, is now said to be dating comedian and talk show host Bill Maher, 68, and remains in an amicable friendship with the father of her child Al.
The former couple, who started dating in 2022 and welcomed their son in June 2023, say they are now just friends who are sharing the co-parenting of Roman.
Catching up on co-parenting duties, Noor and Al were seen departing the posh eatery in the same car after enjoying a dinner together.
Noor sat behind the wheel, while Al sat back in the passenger seat with his dark-rimmed sunglasses on.
Recently, Al was asked if her was in a relationship, for which he replied, ‘No, I have friendship.’

Noor was spotted leaving the Chateau Marmont earlier this month with the host of Real Time With Bill Maher.
There are reports that their new romance has been going on longer than most people think.
People have reported that the couple has gone on several dates outside of the public eye.
Al talks about being a father again at 84 in his new, first-ever memoir, Sonny Boy, which just dropped October 8.
‘It’s always the same. It’s always the same. It’s a mini miracle. That’s all I can say,’ the legendary actor told People.
‘It’s just so wonderful to have children,’ he confessed in the pages. ‘For me, I loved it. It changed me for, if you want to say, the better. It changed me for life. And the idea that you’re throwing your focus on other humans who happen to be your children… there’s the love.’
Roman was born in June 2023, and soon after his mother filed for custody of their son the following September.
A Los Angeles judge ruled that Al has to pay Noor around $30,000 a month in child support for their son, according to documents obtained by Page Six.

Noor previously romanced 63-year-old Holdings/Institute founder Nicolas Berggruen and 81-year-old Rolling Stone frontman Mick Jagger
The Scarface star was first ordered to pay her a $110,000 payment, on top of the monthly payments, as well as $13,000 for a night nurse, along with any medical bills that aren’t covered by health insurance.
The father of four also has to make a yearly $15,000 deposit into an education fund for Roman.
As part of the ruling, the pair have joint legal custody, while Noor will have primary physical custody of their boy.
Noor previously romanced 63-year-old Holdings/Institute founder Nicolas Berggruen and 81-year-old Rolling Stone frontman Mick Jagger.
Along with Roman, The Godfather star also fathered daughter Julie, 35, with acting coach Jan Tarrant and fraternal twins Anton and Olivia, 23, with Emmy nominated actress Beverly D’Angelo.
