Royal minders’ pink alert over Charles and Camilla’s ‘secret lovechild’

  • Simon Dorante-Day says he is King Charles’ love child
  • He warned he will use the Royal visit to get answers

Royal security services are on high alert this weekend to protect King Charles and Queen Camilla from an Australian who claims to be their secret love child.

British-born Simon Charles Dorante-Day, 58, is convinced he is their illegitimate son who was given up for adoption soon after birth and taken in by Royal palace staff.

He has been demanding a DNA test to prove his claim for years – but has now been put on a security watch list after a warning he may take matters into his own hands.

When Charles and Camilla’s tour was announced, Mr Dorante-Day hinted at a plan to confront the Royal couple after they arrive in Sydney on Friday night.

‘What am I going to do this time?’ Mr Dorante-Day said in May.

‘Well, I’d be a very silly person not to take action when he comes into the same jurisdiction as me.

‘But I think I’d be even sillier to reveal my hand prematurely.’

Now close protection experts have confirmed the Australian will be closely watched by Royal bodyguards while the King and Queen are in the country.

‘There is probably around 20 names on that watchlist already,’ one protection expert – who can’t be named for security reasons – told Daily Mail Australia.

‘And certainly anyone making a noise publicly will be of high interest.

‘Background searches will have already been carried out on any names they have and it’s standard to do psych evaluations based on any criminal convictions and social media.’

Mr Dorante-Day was adopted when he was about eight months old in August 1966 in Portsmouth on England’s south coast, when Camilla would have been 18, and Charles, 17.

The father-of-nine maintains that his adopted grandmother, who worked for the Queen, helped arrange the switch and his new life as a Royal outcast.

He now wants the truth to come out so he can take William’s place as heir to the UK throne and become the new Prince of Wales.

Simon Dorante-Day has hinted at a plan to confront the Royal couple after they arrive in Sydney on Friday night.

But Royal minders will have briefed police and ASIO to keep him well away from Charles and Camilla while in Australia.

The Royal couple touch down in Sydney on Friday night where they will spend the weekend before a trip to Canberra on Monday, before returning to Sydney ahead of leaving Australia on Wednesday.

The Royal protection squad will be tasked with keeping Mr Dorante-Day far away from them both throughout the trip.

‘Police have the authority to issue a move on notice to anyone they see fit,’ said the minder with 30 years experience of protecting star and high profile dignitaries.

‘The psychological brief would have determined if that was necessary already.

‘They take everything into account including the grudge the person may have with them and will also be watching for agitated behaviour.’

Mr Dorante-Day has spoken of his frustration after years of publicly and privately begging the Royals to acknowledge his place in their family.

He refused to watch the King’s Coronation in 2023, and said he had ‘better things to do’.

He added at the time: ‘You know the truth – and you’re standing there accepting being named King, knowing the truth.’

His timeline of events contradicts the official history of the Royal couple’s romance, which says Charles didn’t meet Camilla until years after Mr Dorante-Day’s birth

Mr Dorante-Day believes inconsistencies on his official birth certificate and in his name prove he is of royal blood.

But his timeline of events contradicts the official history of the Royal couple’s romance, which says Charles didn’t meet Camilla until years after Mr Dorante-Day’s birth.

Mr Dorante-Day claimed his research suggests Charles and Camilla first became close in 1965, meeting at Winston Churchill’s funeral in January that year.

However, Charles and Camilla are widely reported to have first met at a polo match in Windsor Great Park in 1970.

Camilla reportedly introduced herself with with a reference to Edward VII and his mistress, Alice Keppel.

‘You know, sir, my great-grandmother was the mistress of your great-great-grandfather – so how about it?’ she is said to have told him.

She eventually married Charles in 2005, 10 years after her divorce from Andrew Parker Bowles in 1995.

Mr Dorante-Day has 29,000 fans on Facebook who follow his bid to prove his Royal birthright – but many have poured scorn on his outrageous claim.

‘Who else is waiting with bated breath for Mumsy and Daddy to arrive on Friday,’ one poster wrote sarcastically in a private Facebook group this week.

‘I wonder how much this will cost the taxpayer making sure they know where [Dorante-Day is] so they have no chance of disrupting the visit,’ added another.
