Former Real Madrid player Vinicius Tobias got a tattoo of his baby’s name on his arm only to find out he was not her real father days later.
Tobias’ ex-wife, influencer Ingrid Lima, announced in a recent Instagram post that the 20-year-old footballer is not the father of her newborn daughter Maite.
To honour his supposed daughter’s birth, the former Real Madrid player, who is now a right-back for Ukrainie’s Shakhtar Donetsk, got a tattoo that reads “Maite, I love you”.
However, as his ex has now revealed, she is not his biological child. Ingrid clarified that she had an on-and-off relationship with Vinicius and that during that period, she had been involved with someone else.
According to her, they decided to take a DNA test to confirm or deny Vinicius’ paternity, which came back negative.
In the social media post, Ingrid reportedly wrote: “I came to give a statement about something that is getting annoying and that, unfortunately, I would have to come out on publicly to give you an explanation.
“Vinicius and I haven’t been together for a while. During that time, I was in a relationship with someone and so was he. We both moved on with our lives. In the meantime, Maite came along.
“We decided to do a DNA test, and Maite is not Vinicius’ daughter.” The player did not comment after the paternity result was announced.
Tobias’ career at the Bernabeu was short-lived after he initially joined on loan in 2022. However, due to the first team having used up all of their available non-EU slots, the Brazilian signed to their Castilla B team.
He made 61 appearances for them during his spell and appeared just once for the senior squad in a Copa del Rey match in January this year.
