Bloke caught with pants round ankles ‘on all fours’ having intercourse close to college

A bloke who was caught with his trousers down engaging in a sexual act in the street has expressed his embarrassment.

Mihai Stanescu’s antics were exposed at Teesside Magistrates’ Court. The 35-year-old, who was “drunk” at the time, and his girlfriend of just a few days, thought an alleyway next to a Teesside primary school would offer them some privacy. However, a Middlesbrough dad, who had just dropped his son off at school, was left gobsmacked after stumbling upon the couple’s intimate moment “behind a bush.”

Stanescu confessed to outraging public decency on James Street, North Ormesby, Middlesbrough. Prosecutor Lynne Dalton described how it was 9am on Thursday, September 19 when the father walked past North Ormesby Primary Academy and saw Stanescu involved in a sexual act with a woman.

He heard “moaning,” along with male and female voices. Ms Dalton further clarified that the couple were in an alleyway next to the primary school.

The court heard that the pair had “their trousers round their ankles” and the witness “couldn’t believe what he was seeing,” according to Teesside Live. He was “stunned, shocked and appalled” by the scenes, and went home to call the police.

However, while on the phone, he returned – only to find Stanescu and the woman “still having sex on all fours.”

The witness started recording the incident as proof for the police, saying he was “literally speechless.” The police soon arrived and arrested the couple.

Stanescu confessed to being with his girlfriend of “a couple of days,” admitting they had been “kissing her” but insisted nothing more occurred.

When shown the video captured by a witness, Stanescu initially claimed he “couldn’t see.”

However, upon realising it was him in the footage, he exclaimed: “F****** hell” and repeatedly apologised for his actions, Ms Dalton told the court. It was highlighted that Stanescu, from Falmouth Street in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, has no previous convictions.

Defence solicitor Neil Taylor described the situation as an “unusual case” and expressed to the judge that Stanescu is deeply “ashamed of what’s happened.” The court also heard that the couple had been drinking and “things got the better of them”.

Taylor further clarified that Stanescu, in his intoxicated state, thought an alleyway would offer a safe refuge. District Judge Marie Mallon has requested a pre-sentence report and scheduled Stanescu’s sentencing for November 15 at the Middlesbrough court.
