Call of Duty Black Ops 6 made out there for ‘free’ – this is easy methods to get it

One of the most anticipated new game releases in years is just days away – and Brits can (kind of) get it for free.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will make its debut on Friday, and the team at Activision have set the title in the 1990s. It is expected to feature a high-octane storyline that takes in gun-toting action as well as key moments in history involving the likes of Saddam Hussein and Margaret Thatcher.

The spy thriller is aiming to once again be the top shooter game on consoles this Christmas, and Activision are keen for gamers to pre-load the game on their machines ahead of the big reveal – especially as the games file total a whopping 102gb on PC, 137gb on various Xbox consoles and a gargantuan 172gb on PS5.

But it’s on Xbox where users will be able to bag the game for free, as long as you already have an Xbox Ultimate Pass subscription. Costing around £14.99 a month, the subscription allows access to several top games.

And to the surprise of many, CODBO6 has been added to that, saving users up to a whopping £99.99 depending on which version you buy.

This means that the game is effectively free for Ultimate subscribers using the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One consoles , and it also comes with the Cross Gen version, meaning you can play multiplayer online games against games from other gaming universes

Not only that, but the download comes with another free download in the form of a “dynamic background” for your console… which nobody seems to really know what that actually means.

Despite all the good news, it does mean that you’ll need to keep paying for the subscription in order to access the game – but there are always deals around to make it cheaper.
