Trump asks if Kamala Harris was on medication throughout 60 Minutes interview

Donald Trump shockingly questioned if Vice President Kamala Harris was on drugs or drunk during her ‘edited’ ’60 Minutes’ interview. 

Speaking to a humming crowd at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina Tuesday evening, the former president gave a wide-ranging address where he touted his policy agenda and slammed foes Kamala Harris and Barack Obama. 

When bringing up Harris – who gave an interview to CBS’ 60 Minutes two weeks ago – Trump wondered what led to such a ‘bad’ media appearance. 

The network has been widely criticized for ‘deceitfully editing’ a longwinded answer Harris gave during the interview, after admitting it aired a ‘more succinct’ portion of her response.

And he speculated that drugs and alcohol could be to blame. 

‘Listen, ’60 minutes,’ she was so bad, she gave an answer – this never happened to me … she gave an answer that was so bad that they changed it,’ Trump said at the rally. 

‘They took it out, threw it out. They didn’t like edit it a little bit,’ he said about CBS.  ‘She didn’t know where the hell she was doing.’ 

Then the former president raised some shocking allegations. 

‘Does she drink?’ he questioned. ‘Is she on drugs? I don’t know. I don’t know. I don’t know. I have no idea.’ 

Trump did not offer evidence of Harris’ drinking or drug history, only questioned if she used the substances during the edited interview. 

Trump’s legal team sent a letter to CBS threatening to sue the network should it not release a full, unedited transcript of the interview. 

The letter accuses the network of engaging in ‘news distortion’ and its producers of having ‘intentionally misled the public by broadcasting a skillfully edited Interview transcript, while opting to release other portions online.’

It hints at possible legal action by saying, ‘Kindly confirm receipt of this letter within 48 hours and further confirm your intention to cooperate with these demands.’

Trump lawyer Edward Andrew Paltzik writes it was aimed at ‘causing confusion among the electorate regarding Vice President Kamala Harris’s abilities, intelligence, and appeal.’

The former commander-in-chief has repeatedly suggested that the networks’ broadcast license. 

‘You know, they have to be licensed by the federal government,’ he told the crowd in Greensboro. ‘They should take their license away.’ 

‘They take every word of it and then throw it away, and they insert another answer that’s called election interference, and it’s called fraud.’ 

Also during the rally Trump ridiculed former president Barack Obama. 

Earlier in the day, Obama called Trump ‘old’ and ‘loony.’

‘There are questions about his competence.’ Obama said. ‘You’d be worried if grandpa were acting like this.’ 

‘So Wisconsin, we do not need to see what an older, loonier Donald Trump looks like with no guardrails. America is ready to turn the page,’ he said at an event with Tim Walz. 

The Republican attempted to flip the script and claim that Obama, 63, is ‘looking a little bit older, isn’t he?’ 

He also called Obama a ‘jerk’ and ‘divider’ who looks ‘exhausted’ after stumping for Kamala Harris.

The former president also hit the usual topics like bringing back the American dream, curbing inflation and stemming illegal immigration. 

He also repeated his common claim that Harris is ‘the worst vice president in the history of our country’ and again repeated his famous phrase from his hit show The Apprentice.

‘You’re fired Kamala,’ he said to applause.
