Denver Broncos star Josh Reynolds shot in head after leaving strip membership

Denver Broncos player Josh Reynolds was shot in the back of his head as he left a strip club in the early hours of October 18, the city’s local NBC affiliate has revealed.

Sometime after 3am someone called 911 claiming they were shot while driving a blue Ford Bronco, according to court documents obtained by 9NEWS. Responding officers located several victims, including Reynolds, who was reportedly struck twice: Once in his left arm and once on the back side of his head.

The 29-year-old veteran wideout received treatment for minor injuries, according to a team statement. The Broncos have declined any further comment.

Reynolds was already on injured reserve after underdoing surgery on a broken finger earlier this month, which explains why his absence from the team facility had gone unreported.

Two men have been arrested in the case: Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza.

Denver police have not yet responded to DailyMail.com’s request for more information. A spokesman for the local District Attorney’s office told DailyMail.com that the department does not have the case yet.

As reported by 9NEWS, police received an emergency call near East Hampden Avenue and South Dahlia Street in Denver’s Southmoor Park neighborhood at around 3am on October 18.

The caller, who said he was driving a blue Ford Bronco, claimed to have been shot.

The 911 operator reported that the caller stopped responding at one point and sounded as if they were running.

Another caller said he was being followed and a third caller claimed they, too, had been shot, according to 9NEWS.

Reynolds was reportedly at a strip club named Shotgun Willie’s earlier in the evening

Responding officers found three victims: Reynolds, a man who was shot in his back, and another man who was wounded by shattered glass.

All three men were scratched from climbing a fence, according to 9NEWS.

Police also discovered the victims’ abandoned vehicle, which had sustained damage from gunfire.

The victims had reportedly been at Shotgun Willies, which is a strip club in Glendale, Colorado.

NBA fans will remember that club as being where Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant flashed a gun in an incident that was caught on tape and later led to a lengthy suspension.
