FGS Ingredients Ltd, a food supplier, has issued a massive recall for products sold at popular outlets such as Waitrose, Domino’s and Papa John’s due to an undeclared allergen.
The products may contain peanuts which are not mentioned on the label, posing a potential health risk for anyone with a peanut allergy, warned the FSA.
The recalled items include products from Waitrose, Domino’s, Papa John’s and other affected foods. Hampshire Foods, a family-run herbs and spice merchant that supplies Michelin Star restaurants and P&O Cruise ships, has also issued a recall.

People who have a peanut allergy may experience any of the following symptoms following exposure to the allergen:
- Feeling dizzy or lightheaded
- Itchy skin or a raised rash
- Swelling of the lips, face and eyes
- Coughing, wheezing, breathlessness, noisy breathing or a hoarse voice
- Sneezing or an itchy, runny or blocked nose
- Feeling sick or being sick
- Tummy pain
- Diarrhoea
The NHS explained, “A food allergy is where your body reacts to certain foods. It’s often mild, but can be very serious for some people.”
