Woman and two ladies ‘combating for his or her lives’ in hospital after London stabbings as police arrest a person over ‘tried homicide’

A woman and two girls are said to be fighting for their lives after they were stabbed in East London on Friday evening.

Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Dagenham at around 5:30pm today, and found a woman and two young girls with stab wounds. 

All three victims were rushed rushed to a nearby hospital, and police have said they are still awaiting updates on their condition.  

The Metropolitan Police said a man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and was also taken to hospital after being taken unwell.  

Emergency services were called at approximately 5.35pm on Friday, 25 October, following reports of a stabbing incident on First Avenue, Dagenham

The police force said in a statement: ‘Police were called at approximately 5:35pm to reports of a stabbing on First Avenue, Dagenham. The Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance all attended the scene.

‘A woman and two female children were found suffering stab injuries – they have been taken to hospital for treatment. A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder. He was also taken to hospital after being taken unwell. A crime scene remains in place.’
