Matthew Perry’s Pacific Palisades mansion sells for $8.5M – one 12 months after his tragic ketamine demise

Matthew Perry’s former home in the Pacific Palisades has been sold for $8.55 million in an off-market deal one year after his tragic passing.

Almost exactly a year after he was found dead in the hot tub of the residence on October 28, 2023 at just 54, the Friends star’s 3,500-square-foot mansion was purchased by movie producer and real estate developer Anita Verma-Lallian, who is based in Scottsdale, Arizona

According to the Los Angeles Times, Verma-Lallian intends to use the property as a ‘vacation home.’

Perry bought the four-bedroom home back in 2020 for $6 million.

Before buying his last home, the Fools Rush In actor sold a mansion in Malibu and a ritzy penthouse in Century City.

Prior to his death, Perry frequently shared photos of his house, pool and yard, revealing that he was a big fan of Batman as artwork of the caped crusader was featured prominently in his home.

In fact, his very last Instagram post was a shot of him enjoying the hot tub that he died in with the lights of the city twinkling behind him.

His death was ruled accidental due to the acute effects of Ketamine. Buprenorphine, which is often used to treat opioid addiction, was also found in his system.

Contributing factors in his death were given as drowning and coronary artery disease.

The 3,000 square foot property on Blue Sail Drive was built in 1965 as a modest ranch-style house.

It has since undergone an extensive transformation, with Perry putting his own personal stamp on the sprawling pad.

He completely revamped the property, trading in a light oak floor for a darker wood and boho furniture for much brighter colors.

The stunning four bedroom, four and a half bathroom home is perched upon a hillside overlooking the ocean, with many of the rooms featuring panoramic views of the Pacific.

On Monday, October 28, Perry’s mother Suzanne Morrison and stepfather Keith Morrison will discuss the actor’s final days with Savannah Guthrie on the Today Show to mark one year since his death,

In a teaser clip shown Friday, Suzanne, 81, said Perry showed her ‘one of his new houses’ before saying: ‘He came up to me and said, “I love you so much and I’m so happy to be with you now”.

‘It was almost as though it was a premonition of something. I didn’t think about it at the time but I thought, How long has it been since we’ve had a conversation like that. It’s been years.’

‘I think there was something… there was an inevitability to what was going to happen next to him, and he felt it very strongly. But he said, “I’m not frightened anymore.” And it worried me.
