The Spanish press have heaped praise on Barcelona after their 4-0 humiliation of Real Madrid in the El Classico.

Roberto Lewandowski netted twice in as many second-half minutes before Lamine Yamal broke yet another record.

Raphinha then put the icing on the cake with a fourth to condemn Real to their first defeat of the season.

And the national press wasted no time in praising Hansi Flick’s side after they extended their lead at the top of La Liga.

Marca went with ‘Flick destroys Real Madrid’ as their headline and added Kylian Mbappe had ‘a night to forget’.

AS’ front page screamed ‘Cule Festival’ after the thrashing at the Bernabeu on Saturday night

The Frenchman was caught offside seven times in the game and having two goals disallowed as a result.

Mundo Deportivo’s digital copy also focused on the former PSG star, claiming he fell ‘in Hansi Flick’s trap’ – referring to the Catalan side’s highline.

Meanwhile, AS’ front page screamed ‘Cule Festival’ after the thrashing at the Bernabeu.

La Vanguardia focused on Yamal after he became the youngest-ever goal scorer in El Clasico at 17 years and 105 days, saying ‘the “dream teen” strikes down Real Madrid’.

It is a result that puts Barca six points clear at the top of LaLiga, leaving more questions than answers for a Madrid team which was expected to evolve into almost world beaters this season.

But manager Carlo Ancelotti isn’t worried, defending his team after the game and appearing to identify the result as almost an anomaly on the back of the humiliation.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti isn’t worried as he defended his team after the game

‘We don’t have to throw everything in the trash,’ he said. ‘We have to forget the last 30 minutes.

‘It does not reflect what happened on the field. We couldn’t get ahead on the scoreboard and they took advantage. The game, until the first goal, was very even and we had more chances.

‘We already lost 4-0 here to Barca and won LaLiga and the Champions League. We won’t be far from last season.
