Darts star Stephen Bunting has proved he’s still ‘the people’s champion’ with his sensational karaoke ‘double act’ with World Champion Luke Humphries.
‘The Bullet’ earned the nickname during the PDC World Darts Championship earlier this year, with his videos going viral on social media during the tournament and earning him a new legion of fans. The 38-year-old then pulled off a fairy tale victory in the Cazoo Masters not long after, beating Michael van Gerwen in the final to claim his first PDC major title.
In a recent exhibition event in Cologne, Germany Bunting was filmed alongside current World Champion Humphries. And along with a good game of darts, fans in attendance got a special treat with the duo singing a rendition of Spanduet Ballet’s hit song ‘Gold’.
The World Masters champion was quick to share the footage with his followers on social media and jokingly advertised himself and Humphries as a ‘darting double act available for weddings, birthdays and darts exhibitions’.
Several reacted to the hilarious video on X, with one user suggesting they were ‘X factor’ worthy and another saying: “My day has been made.” They were also described as ‘life-affirming darting legends’ by one fan.
The 2024 PDC season finishes next month with the Grand Slam of Darts and the Player’s Championship Finals the biggest two events remaining on the calendar.
Anticipation is already gearing up for the return of the World Darts Championship in December though with Bunting a former World Champion for the now defunct British Darts Organisation.
If ‘The Bullet’ can’t pull off a success this year then he’ll surely be cheering on his fellow singer Humphries who is vying to retain his title at Alexandra Palace.
