A man who has tattoos covering a large portion of his head and upper body has revealed the five types of ink people are likely to regret in 10 year’s time.
TikTokker ink.body1, real name Dave Chudley, is something of an expert when it comes to body art. He has amassed a massive following on Instagram and TikTok with 300k and 220k followers on each platform respectively.
His content looks into the best and worst of the tattoo world, highlighting what does and doesn’t work well and offering valuable insights for people thinking about getting something done. He’s a heavily tattooed man himself, and with that many people clearly respecting his opinion, has become something of an authority figure.

So, when he says, “here are five tattoos you’re gonna regret in the next 10 years,” he might be worth listening to.
He admits that fine-line tattoos “look great when they’re first done,” but raised the alarm about how well they age.
“The problem is… the lines will distort and there’s nothing you can do about it,” he warned.
“I’ve said it before, your partner’s name. You never know what’s going to happen. Just don’t do it, just don’t.
Third on the list was scripts. “Again, there’s a large chance of bleeding out and turning into a large mess. But also, you could be covering an area you can’t then turn into a bigger project.”
Fourth up was portraits of “famous personalities,” he said with a picture of a zombified likeness of Jimmy Savile behind him.
“You never know what’s going to come out. Even if they’ve died, stuff could still come out”.
He also took aim at “realism,” because it was “probably one of the easiest tattoo styles to mess up,” and warned people that if it was what they really wanted they should go to an artist that “specialises in tattoo realism”.
