Manbaby Trump ‘extra orange than 2020’ as he sends Daily Star’s Fantameter into meltdown

Donald Trump’s latest campaign appearance saw the Republican looking “more orange than ever” while he posed with his “big, beautiful” truck. The ex-president, 78, reeled off a tongue-in-cheek response to the backlash from comments comedian Tony Hinchcliffe had made earlier in the week about Puerto Rico being “a floating island of garbage”.

President Joe Biden, 81, then referred to Trump supporters as “garbage”, which stoked the fires of what’s already been a feisty US election race. “How do you like my garbage truck?” Trump asked reporters during the stunt intended to mock Biden, while wearing an orange safety vest only slightly more luminous than his fake tan.

The choice of clothing, intentional or not, gave the ex president’s Fanta-coloured face even more of an orange hue than normal.

“Vest is matching the face. almost as orange,” wrote someone underneath a Reddit post documenting Trump’s press address. “Some may say the orangest,” chimed another. “When do we get to see him in an orange jumpsuit?” asked another, referencing Trump’s criminal convictions relating to falsifying business records.

It’s not the first time Trump’s facial appearance has been the subject of conversation. This publication previously dubbed him an ‘Orange Manbaby’ and has recently rustled up a ‘Fantameter’ in order to track the evolution of his face.

In the early days, Trump was lacking in peachy visage. Early snaps of a four-year-old Trump reveal the future president’s budding ambition for dominance, with the young lad striking an assertive pose, hands clasped together while gazing into the distance.

Back then, he had the typical rosy-cheeked visage of a Caucasian tot, a stark contrast to the tanned tycoon we recognise today. Even as a young flamboyant businessman – who got into real estate after a “small” $1million loan from his father Fred – there’s no hint of a paprika profile.

It wasn’t until the 90s and early 2000s during his time as The Apprentice boss that we start to see movement on the Fantameter scale. Tanning expert Tania Woloshyn links this change to the ex-commander-in-chief’s well-documented insecurities, which she suggests are woven into his very being.

“Trump believes altering his natural skin colour will improve his appearance and, hence, sense of self,” penned Woloshyn in 2018. “Trump’s skin colour is a target of ridicule of a man obsessed with vanity yet marked by signs of failed masculinity.”

As he moved further and further into the public eye, we can see the Fantameter starting to groan and shudder. By 2016, Trump is essentially tangerine-coloured, with early photos from his presidency highlighting this.

His latest appearance in Wisconsin shows the Republican off the charts on the Daily Star’s Fantameter. Of course, it’s aided by his orange-coloured vest, but it’s still very impressive – something even the most decorated TOWIE cast members would be envious of.
