Neymar Jr has recently dropped a massive clue that he might be keen to reunite with his ex-teammate Lionel Messi.
The pair were team-mates at Barcelona from 2013 to 2017, forming part of the coveted MSN (Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar) front three, clinching two La Liga titles, three Copa del Reys and the Champions League. Neymar left the Catalan giants for Paris Saint-Germain, and Messi subsequently followed four years later, reuniting with Neymar at Parc des Princes from 2021 to 2023.
In 2023, the Brazilian ace transferred to Saudi Pro League team Al-Hilal for £76.3million (€90m), while Messi joined David Beckham’s American team Inter Miami CF on a free transfer. And rumours are swirling that Neymar could be eyeing a move to join Messi in the US, especially as his stint with Al-Hilal is set to wrap up next summer.

And the footballing sensation has fanned the flames of speculation once again after reportedly dropping a cool £20m ($26m) on a prime slice of Miami real estate in the swanky Bal Harbour neighbourhood. The plot, a generous 46 metres in length, previously had a house which has since been knocked down, and boasts its own boat dock.
Nestled within a secure community, the land comes with ready-to-go plans for a lavish 13,000 square-foot pad, according to the listing details. While Bento Queiroz of Compass, the buyer’s agent, kept schtum about the new owner’s identity, insider whispers to The Real Deal suggest Neymar is the man with the plan.
After suffering a cruciate ligament tear last October, the 32 year old has only played six matches for Al-Hilal, missing out on 53 games. He only made his return to the pitch as a late substitute in the team’s 5-4 AFC Champions League victory over Al Ain last month. And Neymar has previously told ESPN Argentina about his hopes of reuniting with Messi, saying: “Hopefully we can play together again.
“Leo is a great person, everyone knows him in football and I think he is very happy and if he is happy, I am too.” However, Messi was less than convinced earlier this year, when he told Infobae: “The truth is that it is difficult now, he is in Saudi Arabia, and he has one more year left on his contract, it seems to me.
“He went through a difficult year, where he was injured for a long time, which has left him out of the Copa America as well. Now it’s difficult. Afterwards, I don’t know, the truth is that life takes so many turns that anything can happen, but I don’t think that today, no.”
Messi will stay put in Miami next season with the option of extending his stay into the 2026 season. Suarez is also reported to be in negotiations to remain in the MLS, currently playing for the same club as Leo. Should Neymar find his way to Miami in a footballing capacity any time soon, we could see the old faithful MSN reunite on US soil.
