The colour of Donald Trump’s face – specifically how orange it is – has been the subject of conversation yet again as the US election approaches.
It’s no secret the ex-president, 78, likes to dollop a fair whack of bronzer on his visage from time-to-time. This publication has dubbed the MAGA man an ‘Orange Manbaby’ in the past, documenting the evolution of his tangerine-coloured skin over the years. Recently a photographer took to Instagram to weigh in on that famous paprika profile.
Emily Keegin posted a series of pictures to the platform, highlighting how the Republican nominee gets more orange the closer he gets to “election season”.
With Trump set to go up against Kamala Harris in the polls next week, this will be his third election campaign. A recent outing in Wisconsin earlier this week saw Trump looking “more orange than ever” – sparking Keegin to comment on the situation.
“Believe me when I say this,” Keegin wrote alongside a picture of a very, very orange Trump from October 30. “We’ve never seen him like this. This is darker than he was [at the Republican rally] at Madison Square Gardens on Monday.”
Keegin showed how Trump’s face was “normal-ish” from an earlier photo when he wasn’t in an election race.
“Our makeup choices are not made blindly. We use makeup because we see the limitations of our own face far too clearly,” Keegin said. “Like we do in many other aspects of our lives, we overcompensate to cover our flaws. The presence of an exaggerated mask [like Trump’s] implies an ego in utter despair, desperately trying to hide.”
Keegin finished with another picture from Trump from the recent Wisconsin appearance, donned in a reflective vest and standing to attention like a giant carrot. “Looking at this picture, I can say with complete certainty that Trump thinks he is losing,” she said.
