The FA Cup is back in action and the second round draw has been made in full.
Over the weekend, the first round proper took place with some standout results. NFL legend Tom Brady’s Birmingham City, currently leading League One, managed to edge past Sutton United, securing their spot in the next round.
However, Ryan Reynolds‘ Wrexham learned they wouldn’t be joining them after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Harrogate Town from League Two. Meanwhile, seventh-tier Harborough Town made history by reaching the second round for the first time ever, following a resounding victory over Tonbridge Angels.
In another surprise result, Tamworth ousted former Premier League side Huddersfield Town in the biggest shock of the opening round. A number of other non-league teams have also secured their places in the second round of the FA Cup, hoping to extend their cup runs later this season, reports the Mirror.
Just one tie remains from the first round and 40 ties in all, with Chesham United and Lincoln City fighting it out for the final place in the second round on Monday night. Here is the FA Cup second round draw in full…
