Luke Littler could be set for a huge windfall as he prepares to make his Grand Slam of Darts debut.
Littler, 17, will be among the 32 stars taking to the oche on November 9 for the nine-day tournament that concludes on November 17. It will be Littler’s first time at the tournament, with the teenager earning a pretty penny during his first year on the tour.
And if Littler wins the tournament he could become a millionaire. There is £150,000 up for grabs in Wolverhampton, which would take Littler to over £1million in earnings for the year – and his net worth into the seven figures.
The Runcorn-based ace, who turned pro in January, is currently 18th in the Order of Merit, with £405,000 to his name. Littler pocketed £315,000 for winning the Premier League back in May.
While playing on the World Series of Darts, with trips to New York, New Zealand and Australia, among others, saw him take hime £150,000.
Littler has the chance for revenge in Wolverhampton – with the 17-year-old being drawn against old foe Keane Barry after being drawn in the Mr Vegas Grand Slam of Darts group stage.
The darts sensation was beaten by Barry in the JDC finals in 2019 – when he was just 12 years old – losing 4-2, but now the teenager has a chance to settle the score when the tournament kicks off in Wolverhampton this weekend.
He has also been drawn has also been drawn against Dmitri van den Bergh and Lourence Ilagen in Group F – with the first round of fixtures set to get underway on Saturday.
