Manchester United legend Dimitar Berbatov had the Sky Sports studio in absolute stitches with his hilarious take on Fulham‘s heart-stopping comeback victory against Brentford.
Brentford initially nabbed the lead with a cracking long-distant belter from Vitaly Janelt, yet it was Harry Wilson who emerged as Fulham’s saviour, bagging a stunning stoppage-time double to snatch a last-gasp 2-1 triumph for Marco Silva’s men on Monday night.
Wilson whipped in the decider at a nail-biting 96 minutes and 46 seconds, clocking it as Fulham’s latest ever match-winner in their Premier League history. Berbatov, who played for Fulham from 2012 to 2014, went berserk with joy in the studio.
Once he’d regained his composure enough to do a spot of punditry, Berbatov had co-pundit Jamie Carragher and anchor David Jones helpless with laughter as he cracked: “This is the type of game where, you know, after the game babies are made.”
Left with the mental image of victorious players enjoying some late night bonking, Carragher couldn’t help but chime in with: “On that note let’s go for a break,” reports the Mirror.

Chewing over the edge-of-the-seat win, Cottagers’ chief Silva heaped praise on Wilson, saying he “deserves” his shining moment after a “tough” stint this season. The winger has been stuck warming the bench, as league starts have been hard to come by this term.
In his post-match musings, Silva said: “I said that he deserved the moment,” acknowledging the challenges Wilson has faced. “It’s been tough for him and I know it. He’s been so pivotal for us. He’s a top lad, a great bloke, and itching to get more game time. I’m chuffed to bits for him and told him he deserves his limelight.
“We saw a little bit of what has been our season so far – being dominant in most of the games, the best team on the pitch most of the games and creating much more chances than the opposition side. But the reality is that, in some moments, we didn’t get so far the points that we deserve from the game.
“From the first minute, on the front foot was Fulham. First 20 minutes of the game, I think we did create two or three clear chances to score. And from nowhere – they didn’t have anything until that moment – the shot 25 yards from the goal, and they scored.
“The reality is that we didn’t lose the confidence. We tried and tried, kept pushing them back and trying many different ways to score, and the result was really unfair at half-time.
“I told the players that we have to keep pushing hard, and it’s going to be tough for [Brentford] to keep always blocking everything. I have to give credit to them. They defended really hard their box – 10 players always around their box, a lot of bodies there. But the reality is that we didn’t give up.”
