Melania Trump fashion choices point to her no longer wishing to be First Lady of the USA if Trump wins, according to a body language expert.
Darren Stanton has analysed Melania Trump outfit while her husband voted as Americans head to the polls to decide who will become the next President of the United States.
Mr Stanton believes Ms Trump has worn sunglasses is an attempt for anonymity.
He said: “The sunglasses are reminiscent of professional poker players that want to cover their eyes up because when you have a shift in emotions you can detect quite a lot. You are disguising blink rate, eye gaze and pupil dilation.”
Mr Stanton notes Ms Trump faces away from Donald. He even claims she looks like she is “under duress”.
He said: “You would think she would be standing beside him or to the side of him, doing something with her hands supporting him. She should be facing him at an angle but she is facing towards the journalists.
“Her hands are to her side, she is not showing anything. Her facial expressions are very stoic, there is no smiling, happiness, joy or support. She is not standing close to him, not got a hand on his arm. It is very odd. It’s like someone being there under duress.”
Ms Trump’s clothes have also been analysed by Mr Stanton.
He claims her dress is “contrary to her baseline behaviour”, and believes she has the demeanour of someone who has “been asked to go to a party she doesn’t want to go to.”
He said: “The dress is important. She is generally dressed up to the nines looking very glamorous , this seems quite a dowdy thing to be wearing. The way she normally dresses, this dress is contrary to her baseline behaviour. She is never normally seen without being less than very glamorous.
“The whole message I am getting is one of ‘I don’t want to be here’. Her behaviour is of someone of being wheeled out to face the world, like being asked to go to a party you don’t want to go to.
“When Trump was asked if there was anything that could stop him declaring tonight, normally he would adopt a persona of bravado and gusto. But here he plays it down. Normally her he would be super confident but this reaction suggested chinks of a lack of belief.”
Other body language experts have analysed the former president.
Inbaal Honigman, who also works as a TV psychiatrist, said Donald Trump is bound by a “carefully choreographed” routine using specific hand gestures. She claims his signature hand pump gesture is “not spontaneous” during his rallies.
