Mum’s chilling bloody T-shirt put up earlier than lifeless physique was stuffed inside fridge

A woman whose body was hidden inside a fridge after being killed posted a chilling message about domestic abuse on social media before she died.

Milena Vitória de Barros, 22, was stabbed and killed on November 4, according to media reports from Brazil. Her ex-husband Marcos Vinicius was arrested on suspicion of killing her and hiding her corpse, Globo reported. Two weeks ago, Milena had shared images on social media of T-shirts with the anti-domestic abuse slogans such as “Don’t accept flowers as an apology”, “it was just once”, “he’ll stop” and “it was the last time”.

In another post, Milena, who had two children, said: “Teach your son to never assault a woman and your daughter to never forgive an assault. The future will thank you.”

Reports indicate Milena’s stepfather found her body and that her ex-husband was arrested hours later. Witnesses said he had not accepted the end of their relationship.

On Friday (October 31), the ex-husband went to the Travessa Santa Luzia home where Milena was living to pick up their son, five. The former couple also had a daughter aged two.

The stepfather claimed the alleged suspect Marcos Vinicius had sent a message saying Milena would never see her son again, but later went to the house with the boy on Monday morning.

Reports suggest neighbours said Milena allowed him to enter the home and that he later left with the two children and a backpack. Neighbours then called Milena’s family, leading her stepfather to go to the home and enter with a spare key.

After entering the home, he found a refrigerator laying on the floor with a woman’s body inside.

Later, the suspect turned himself into police and the death is now being investigated by the Capital Homicide Division. Civil Police said officers are working to establish a motive behind Milena’s murder.

Travessa Santa Luzia is in the Senador Camará neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro.
