Fox News host Dana Perino griped that it’s a “shame” Vice President Kamala Harris didn’t immediately concede the election on Tuesday night and let Donald Trump’s team “have their moment.”
“You work so hard. And I know that they’re disappointed, but you should concede and let your opponent have their election night,” Perino said on the conservative network just after 2 a.m. Eastern time, in a clip captured by Mediaite.

“Let them have their moment,” she said of the Republican nominee’s supporters at the Palm Beach Convention Center in Florida.
“I don’t think it’s right,” she later added.
In 2020, Trump declared himself the winner around 2:30 a.m. on the morning after the election, even though many battleground races were still too close to call and many votes were yet to be counted.
Once they were tabulated, he turned out to be the loser. Yet he has spent Joe Biden’s entire presidency insisting he won.
Harris did not speak as planned at Howard University in Washington, D.C., where her supporters were gathered for a watch party Tuesday.

After midnight, as her chances of a win appeared increasingly slim, her co-campaign chair, Cedric Richmond, said she would address the nation later on Wednesday.
Fox News called the race for Trump at 1:47 a.m., several hours before the Associated Press and other major newsrooms followed suit.
After the 2020 election, Fox News helped Trump push his lies about election fraud for months, leading to legal troubles for the network. In 2023, it settled a defamation lawsuit filed by Dominion Voting Systems for $787.5 million.
