England 37-42 Australia: Steve Borthwick’s males combust late on AGAIN in heartbreaking defeat at Twickenham – as Wallabies win with final play of the sport in loopy ending

England capitulated late on for the second week running as they lost 37-42 to Australia in the last play of the game at Twickenham.

Max Jorgensen scored an 80th-minute try to stun Twickenham before Noah Lolesio’s conversion put the icing on the cake for the Wallabies

The devastation comes just a week after the Three Lions lost 24-22 to New Zealand, and next week is a challenge against world champions South Africa

England had been 18-28 down after 57 minutes and wrestled back to lead 37-35 with minutes to spare as Maro Itoje and Marcus Smith appeared to come to the rescue.

But Australia still had fuel in the tank and found the breakthrough in the dying moments to seal victory.
