Raising a glass: Sales were boosted after Kylie launched a zero per cent sparkling rosé
Fresh figures reveal that Kylie Minogue’s wine business has enjoyed another fizzing year.
Results provided by data firm NIQ to The Mail on Sunday show UK sales hit £34 million for the year to October 5, up from £28 million the year before.
Since the brand was launched four years ago it has sold close to 17 million bottles worldwide, the company said.
The singer is known for her regular sparkling wine, but sales in the no and low alcohol wine category have also soared from £1.7 million to £3.2 million.
Sales were boosted after she launched a zero per cent sparkling rosé in May, marking the fourth anniversary of her brand and her 56th birthday. And the pop princess said she was ‘so happy’ to be launching a sparkling white wine this month.
This comes as Gen Z reach for teetotal alternatives to ditch tomorrow’s hangover.
Georgina Haughton, Sainsbury’s head of wine buying, said: ‘She appeals to all generations. It’s clear Kylie has spent time developing the range and taps into great quality and affordability without compromising on taste.’
