TikTok star GK Barry has said she will ‘bring nothing’ to the I’m A Celebrity camp and is there to ‘have a couple of weeks sitting in a hammock’.
The 25-year-old, whose real name is Grace Keeling, rose to fame by making TikToks as a student at Nottingham University during the pandemic in which she shared funny anecdotes from her life.
Now an internet sensation, Grace boasts 4.5million followers across all social media platforms and is the host of the podcast, Saving Grace.
But entering the Jungle this Sunday she said: ‘I’m not doing this show for fun… It’s more for future jobs that I can get with ITV.
‘I’m just here to have a relaxing couple of weeks, sit in a hammock and maybe eat a few maggots. I’m not here to get stressed.
‘I feel like it’s just not my nature. Well, don’t get me wrong, I moan about everything. I’m a glass half empty kind of gal. But just not pulling your weight. That’s fine, you know, I’m not really bothered.’

The social media star has admitted that she’s joining the show not for fun but so she can boost her career and land more presenting jobs with ITV
Calling herself ‘the perfect match’ for ITV, the feeling is clearly mutual from the network as at 25, she’s the youngest panellist on Loose Women.
Speaking about her reasons for appearing on I’m A Celeb, she said: ‘Obviously, I’ve got the Gen Z audience down but I think it would be nice to have a different audience.
‘The main reason for me doing it like I’d love to do, presenting and stuff. So I think this is a good step forward.’
When asked why she was aligning herself with ITV, Grace said: ‘I just feel like it fits me. And it’s also a lot of my audience. Like, if you ask a lot of people my age, it’s always like, Oh, we’re watching ITV, so I feel like it’s just the perfect match.’
While a student at Nottingham University, Grace rose to fame after making comical but ‘honest’ TikToks about her life during the COVID-19 pandemic.
But she said: ‘I’m more toned down than I am on my TikTok. I’m actually quite shy, so that actually could be really disappointing for people to see.
‘And I don’t sound like a London cab driver all the time.’
Previously, Grace has been criticised for changing her accent to an Essex one to seem more relatable to followers when, in reality, she has a posh Cambridge accent.
Grace arrived Down Under earlier this week to appear in the coming series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here after first appearing on Ant and Dec’s aftershow chat
Fans had been calling for her to be a contestant on the show, prompting Dec to ask, ‘What is a GK Barry?’ and she will now appear this Sunday

When asked about her changing accent on The Fellas podcast last year, the social media star said: ‘Everyone says this. Me and my mum, I think we have this issue where we go between accents.
‘When I’m drunk I go really posh, when I’m sober I’m a bit like’ and she grunted, ‘and when I’m on TikTok I put it on more’.
The social media star already has a bright future ahead of her. She is the youngest panellist on Loose Women and hosts a podcast, Saving Grace, which boasts guests such as fellow ITV star Alison Hammond and Alan Carr.
