Jake Paul shocks Hawk Tuah lady Haliey Welch with $1milllion walkout outfit declare for Mike Tyson battle

  • Paul will reportedly earn around $40million for his fight with Mike Tyson
  • The YouTuber claimed he will wear the most expensive outfit in boxing history
  • Paul had also worn a $100,000 ear cover to taunt Tyson ahead of the fight

Jake Paul has claimed he will wear the ‘most expensive outfit in boxing history’ when he takes to the ring to face Mike Tyson in Texas on Friday night.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer will meet the former heavyweight boxing world champion at the AT&T Stadium.

Their showdown has generated controversy due to the 31-year age gap between the fighters, with several having expressed concern over 58-year-old Tyson’s health.

Paul will reportedly bank $40million (£31m) in Texas while Tyson will walk away with at least $20m (£15.7m), a number which could almost double depending on how how the fight performs.

A share of Paul’s earnings appears to have been spent already, after he claimed he will wear an outfit costing $1million (£780,000) during his walkout for the fight.

Paul made the claim on the Talk Tuah Podcast with Haliey Welch, where he revealed his entrance will partly be inspired by Iron Mike’s legendary boxing career.

Paul shocked Haliey Welch by claiming his walkout outfit for the fight will be worth $1million

‘This outfit that I have made for the fight is the most expensive fight outfit in the history of boxing,’ Paul said.

‘It’s $1million.

‘It has cost a pretty penny and it is very shiny, that’s the hints I will give.

‘For the walkout I am going to be driving in a certain vehicle to the ring, which is going to be pretty cool.

‘The rest you are going to have to wait and see, the song is sort of related to Mike Tyson’s career and a film that he did.’

Paul’s claim over the cost of his outfit prompted a shocked reaction from Welch, who was catapulted into fame with the viral ‘Hawk Tuah’ video.

Welch’s co-host was also heard saying ‘what the f***’ in response to Paul’s statement.

His bold claim is likely to draw further attention to his walkout for the unlikely fight with Tyson.

It is not the only outlandish purchase made by Paul ahead of the fight, with a flashy earpiece earpiece sitting on Paul’s helix having been highlighted at the pre-fight press conference.

TMZ Sports reported that the cover from VOBARA costed a staggering $100,000 (£78,000). The YouTuber-turned-fighter wore it on his right ear in an expensive reference to Tyson’s infamous bite on Evander Holyfield in their 1997 heavyweight rematch.

Paul and Tyson had clashed at the weigh in for the fight, with the latter slapping the YouTuber in response to the 27-year-old stepping on his toes.

Paul seemed relatively unfazed by the strike as Tyson was restrained and gave little comment before leaving the stage. That gave Paul an opportunity on the microphone to send his final message.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani on stage, Paul said: ‘Mike Tyson, that was a cute slap buddy but tomorrow you’re getting knocked the f*** out.

‘I’m f*****g him up, I’m f*****g him up! He hits like a b***. It’s personal now, it’s personal now!

The weigh in had seen Tyson had outweighed Paul by just over a pound. Having previously operated as a cruiserweight, Paul has bulked up to take on Tyson and weighed in at 227.2lbs.

Tyson, 58, is 19 years removed from his last sanctioned professional fight despite competing in an exhibition with Roy Jones Jr. in 2020.
