A French billionaire was seen rocking up to a Lidl car park for a “fight” with an online troll in bizarre scenes.
Xavier Neil, who is in the telecommunications and technology industry, challenged the troll to a duel in response to a post that called on the wealthy man to show up for a “one-against-one” fight outside of the supermarket chain in Marseille. The 57-year-old, who is also one of the country’s richest men having become a billionaire aged just 24, shared a video online of him ousting the person to get to the scene. He said: “I’m here. I’m waiting for you.”
Mr Niel, who is the founder of French internet service provider and mobile operator Iliad, was first challenged by an X user who expressed their “hate” for the billionaire.

They wrote: “I hate you I propose a 1v1 in front of the Lidl on rue Sainte in Marseille,” in a Tweet mad back in May.
But what came next, nobody would have been expecting as Neil did as he was told – albeit months later – after the user kicked off over his low internet speed.
“Where are you, come on,” Neil continued. “Do you want to meet in the car park?” The user then declined the billionaire’s offer of a brawl and seemingly shied away.

“No sorry I was joking. I would have liked to but 34.2 temperature plus stomach ache plus headache sorry I give up,” they said.
Lidl’s ordinarily humorous social media time couldn’t help but chime in on the exchange too. It tweeted: “Please come and get the gentleman who has been tweeting since this morning in front of the store on Rue Sainte in Marseille.”
